High Court

The High Court is not bound by its own decisions if such decision was made at first instance rather than on appeal. These decisions are however binding on all inferior courts. The Divisional Court which is a part of the High Court hears appeals and is bound by its own decisions subject to the three exceptions listed above in respect of the Court of Appeal.

Decisions in the Crown Court, County Court and Magistrates' court are not binding.
