Crown Court

The Crown Court deals with prosecution of the more serious criminal offences. These are known as indictable offences and triable either way offences. Triable either way offences may be heard in either the magistrates' court or the Crown Court. The important aspect of the Crown Court is that trial are held before a both a judge and a jury.
